This hand knit alpaca hat is made from all-natural 3 ply alpaca yarn. It features a 2 color diamond pattern around the border. It has been knit in the round (no seams_ for a more comfortable fit.

This hat is knit to order. It will take a few days to make.

Alpacas are related to llamas but are smaller in size and have a much softer fleece. Many people sensitive to sheep wool wear alpaca comfortably. This alpaca comes from Borgstein Alpaca Farm in Medfield Massachusetts. It has been has been spun and processed into small batches of super fine, silky soft, natural and luxurious un-dyed yarn. The colors are the colors of the animals in the herd. They are not dyed.

Hand wash cool water. Lay flat to dry after blotting extra water out by rolling in a bath towel.
Note: Washing in a conditioning shampoo can enhance the soft appeal of this fiber.
