Leno lace (also called doop lace) is made by twisting the vertical warp threads around the horizontal weft threads creating an open mesh-like fabric. In this scarf, the warp yarns are cotton and the weft is a lovely mohair blend created in Italy for Trendsetter yarns.

I was excited and happy to find this small trove of beautiful soft and sparkly yarns that I could combine with my stash of mercerized cotton to make these floaty shimmery luxuriously soft scarves.
