Flip-top mittens, hand knit and made to order with alpaca from Borgstein Alpaca Farm all natural award winning fleece, perfect for winter texting and commutes.

These mittens feature a retractable top that can be pulled down to allow the fingers to do their thing while remaining warm and protected. The opening goes across the palm. It easily flips back over the fingers when needed.

Fully fashioned thumb gusset offers a comfortable fit without excess fabric. Your choice of an open thumb (allows easy use of electronic devices) or a traditional closed thumb.

Bulky worsted weight yarn provides soft warmth.

Available in 4 sizes (or knit to custom fit):
- Small fits a small woman's hand (size 6 or thereabouts).
- Medium fits a medium sized woman's hand (size 7 or 7.5).
- Large fits a large woman's hand (size 8 or so) or a small man's hand.
- X-Large fits a medium sized man's hand

4 colors of natural undyed alpaca.
Alpacas are related to llamas but are smaller in size and have a much softer fleece. Many people sensitive to sheep wool wear alpaca comfortably. This alpaca comes from Borgstein Alpaca Farm in Medfield Massachusetts. It has been has been spun and processed into small batches of super fine, silky soft, natural and luxurious un-dyed yarn. The colors are the colors of the animals in the herd. They are not dyed.

They are knit to order so please allow time for me to make them.

Hand wash in cool water, wrap in a towel to blot out extra water, air dry flat.
Note: Washing in a conditioning shampoo can enhance the soft appeal of this fiber.
